Our Mission
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Our Vision
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Our Organization
As a state support organization chartered by Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), Habitat for Humanity of New York State, Inc. shares that vision and mission by creating resources, providing assistance, and developing tools for New York’s Habitat affiliates.
If you are interested in becoming a Habitat homeowner or volunteer, or want to donate goods to Habitat, we encourage you to reach out to your local affiliate at www.habitatnys.org/find-your-local-affiliate
Habitat for Humanity of New York State and New York Habitat affiliates also share HFHI’s open door policy and belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live regardless of religion, race, age, gender, political views, or any other distinction that too often divides people. This means that Habitat welcomes all volunteers and supporters, and will serve all those in need regardless of their background.
Habitat also does not proselytize or offer help on the expressed or implicit condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion.
